Kentucky County Judge/Executive Association(KCJEA) Seeking Executive Director
ABOUT KCJEA: The Kentucky Judge/Executive Association is an association of county government assembled for the purpose of serving and representing county judge/executives and their respective counties. The direction of this organization is one that is determined by its membership. The strength of the organization remains with the dedicated county judge/executives across the Commonwealth.
GOVERNANCE: KCJEA is governed by an Executive Board led by a President chosen annually by its members. The Executive Board meets quarterly.
EDUCATION AND EVENTS: Besides the quarterly Board meetings the Association holds, General Membership meetings are held semi-annually. KCJEA hosts an annual Winter Conference each February. KCJEA and the Kentucky Magistrates’ and Commissioners’ Association hold a joint Summer Conference. In addition, KCJEA hosts an annual Fall Retreat.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate would be one with a proven track record with the combination of leadership, organizational, communication and advocacy skills. A county government background, especially fiscal court related, would be advantageous. Knowledge of the legislative process with familiarity with the Kentucky General Assembly and the US Congress would be essential. Click here for a full job description.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Starting salary is equivalent to the Schedule for County Judge/Executives in Group VI (Equates to Franklin County J/E salary)
