REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

 AUDITING SERVICES FOR THE KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES, INC. (KACo) AND KACo AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS

The Kentucky Association of Counties, Inc. (KACo) requests proposals from which to select auditing firms, for a three year period starting with fiscal year 2019-20, with an additional three year optional period, to perform audits for KACo and KACo's affiliated organizations, including the following:  Kentucky Association of Counties Insurance Agency, Inc.; Kentucky Association of Counties All Lines Fund; Commonwealth Insurance Company, Inc.; Kentucky Association of Counties Workers' Compensation Self-Insurance Fund; Kentucky Association of Counties Leasing Trust; and Kentucky Association of Counties Unemployment Compensation Self-Insurance Fund. 

Additional information regarding this Request for Proposals may be obtained by contacting KACo Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Karen Basham at karen.basham@kaco.org.  Proposals should be sent to the attention of CFO Basham via e-mail no later than 4:30 p.m., February 14, 2020, in advance of the proposal opening on February 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at KACo, 400 Englewood Drive, Frankfort, Kentucky. 

Separate proposals should be submitted for each entity referenced above—one aggregate proposal may not be utilized for all entities.  It is not required that a proposal be submitted for each entity.  Experience with KACo, KACo affiliated organizations, self-funded insurance programs, non-profit corporations and cost will be primary factors in determining bid awards. 

KACo reserves the right to:

• Utilize additional factors contained within any submission;
• Reject any or all submissions; and
• Negotiate with any party regarding their submission.
